WHAT WE'LL DO
In this workshop we’ll look at the basics of what makes a well told story. Based on ancient and modern principles we explore:
- Identifying a good story from your personal life
- What is a story-arc and how do you build it
- How to keep your audience engaged from beginning to end
- How to identify the pivotal moment (often the climax) of your story
- What are the most important pitfalls when telling a story
- How to create an attention grabbing start and a satisfying end

YOUR FACILITATOR
Oki Alexander studied architecture at the University of Technology in Delft, where he soon discovered that a poor design with a good presentation scored better than a good design with a poor presentation.
When he later developed his career in Learning & Development he realized how these presentation skills helped to get information across more efficiently, especially when it was through a story that conveyed context and meaning.
As the head of R&D with a startup in the field of children's education he started to make stories an integral part of the methodology, and in the process extracted the principles behind telling a good story.
Now, after 20 years in China, he is back in Europe to bring the art and value of storytelling to a broader audience.
